Jennifer Kayombo is a young woman leader who is passionate about girls' and women's rights. In 2021, Jennifer was recognized by New African Woman Magazine as a woman who is pioneering to make her community a better place.

In this episode, Jennifer discusses her mother's commitment to her education… volunteering in a local organization working with other girls, and then achieving a leadership role in high school to educate girls about reproductive health and rights… her mother as a “pillar of strength” in her life… using her own challenges and experiences to encourage other girls and young women… the importance of being resilient and optimistic… trying even when we know we may fail… encouraging young girls and young women to know that their own voice is powerful and that they can be whatever they want to be… and the importance of creating safe spaces and platforms for girls and young women to speak out.
